WTCPT

Weller WTCPT Solder StationWTCPT has been around for decades in one version or another due to its supreme dependability and simplicity of use.

Although not variable, the temperature of the tip is changed by the tip itself. You can get tips for 600, 700 or 800F working temperature in the usual selection of sizes.

The WTCPT comes with the PU120T power unit, TC201T TC201 soldering pencil with PTA7 Tip, stand and sponge.
A lighted rocker switch indicates on/off status - Quick disconnect plug for soldering iron allows fast iron change - Power unit features impact resistant plastic for durability - ESD safe to protect sensitive components - Tips available in 3 standard temperature ranges: 600F, 700F, and 800F - UL and cUL listed.

Quick Check-Remove the heater and measure the resistance across the 2 pins the heater is connected to. Heater should have ~10-30 Ohms resistance across pins-If not, (open circuit) it needs replacing

Weller Switch Assembly SW60 Switch Assembly   $29.90
Fits inside heater, regulates temperature by turning heater on or off.
Quick Check-Remove the switch and put DMM across the wires in continuity mode. Place the solder tip against the end of the switch. You should get continuity and hear the switch "click". If not switch needs replacing.
